Silicated Chrysocolla
Origin: Oregon, USA (Rowly Mine)
Mohs Hardness: 2.5-7
Silicated Chrysocolla is a hydrous copper and silicate mineraloid that is reminiscent of Turquoise, and beautiful and tranquil Caribbean ocean waters. It is a copper ore composed primarily of the minerals quartz, limonite, azurite, malachite, and cuprite, and forms as a secondary mineral in the oxide zones of those deposits through hydrothermal activity. The name originates from Ancient Greek “khrusos” and “kolla” meaning “gold” and “glue” respectively.
Metaphysically, Silicated Chrysocolla can help achieve tranquility, peace, enhanced intuition, patience, and unconditional love.
